Surrey - ParcelPal Fleet Associate

ParcelPal is looking for Burnaby fleet associates!

We are looking for highly motivated, organized, and reliable individuals to join our team and maintain a fleet of delivery vehicles. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing, publicly-traded technology and logistics company.

This is a part-time, permanent position averaging 20 hours per week. Days are Monday - Friday 8 am-12 pm with room for some flexibility with respect to days and hours.  Additional days as a delivery associate are also available, so combined this would be a full-time position.

  • Additional availability may be required particularly during the holiday season.

 

Duties Include:

  • Performing vehicle inspections to ensure all vehicles are in working condition
  • Working alongside management to determine the root cause of damages and preventative measures
  • Performing light maintenance on vehicles where required and purchasing necessary materials and tools for upkeep
  • Transporting vehicles for maintenance and liaising with vendors to coordinate pick up and drop off
  • Building relationships with vendors and reducing maintenance costs
  • Ensuring vehicles have appropriate insurance and are being renewed as needed
     

All applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Must possess valid class 5 drivers license
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Minimum age: 21
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, and coworkers.
  • Must be tech-savvy.
  • Pass Criminal background check
  • Strong geographic knowledge of the Greater Vancouver Area.
  • Must be coachable and have a willingness to continue training and upgrade skills relating to fleet management.
  • Excellent English, both oral and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of stress management, conflict resolution, team leadership and sense of comradery are essential to your success.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Ideal Candidates:

  • Will have an automotive background, specifically in fleet management and vehicle maintenance
  • Preferably 2 years of work experience in operations or logistics
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 360 and other Office related tech.
  • Familiarity with Worksafe B.C./Employment Standards/Ministry of Transportation policies and regulations.
